Glossary

The terms we use, defined plainly.

Phantom stock
Inventory your system shows as sellable but you can't ship.
Reorder point
The stock level that triggers a new purchase. A common formula is average daily sales times lead time, plus safety stock.
WISMO
Short for "where is my order." Any contact asking about order status or delivery updates, by email, phone, chat or social.
Ticket noise
Helpdesk tickets nobody is waiting on, such as your own order-confirmation emails landing in the queue. They inflate counts and bury real requests.
Reconciliation
Checking that two sets of numbers that should agree do agree.
Involuntary churn
A subscriber is lost because a payment failed, not because they chose to leave. Expired cards and other payment-method problems are typical causes.
