Who we are

Morsegrid fixes what breaks when an ecommerce brand grows. We find the cause in a brand's own Shopify, helpdesk and ERP data first, then build the fix and train the team to run it.

We are a small, senior-led team with people in the USA, Bangladesh, Ireland and New Zealand. Trainees learn on real client systems next to senior people. We care about craft, plain communication and work that keeps running after we hand it over.

About the role

We're hiring a Founder's Associate, on a track toward Chief of Staff over 18 to 24 months. This role sits close to the founder, sees how the business actually runs, and progressively takes work off their plate.

It is not an assistant role and it is not a project manager role: you will be expected to notice what shouldn't require the founder's attention and take it over.

What you'll achieve

• Own call outcomes. Sit in on founder-level calls (sales, client, internal) and own what comes out of them: notes, decisions, owners, and deadlines.
• Run follow-through. Run follow-through on the founder's commitments so nothing promised on a call quietly dies.
• Prepare briefs. Prepare briefs before they're needed: call context, numbers, and background.
• Take over recurring work. Take over recurring work one process at a time, documenting each as an SOP as you learn it.
• Chase the team. Chase the team and clients the founder would otherwise chase personally.
• Keep the picture current. Keep the operating picture current: pipeline, client status, and priorities.
• Draft communications. Draft communications in the founder's voice for review.
• Flag what is missed. Flag when something is being missed or dropped.

Skills you'll need to bring

• No degree requirement and no specific years of experience.
• Evidence of real responsibility for something where failure had a cost.
• Written English strong enough to draft client-facing messages in someone else's voice.
• Confidence with a modern work stack: we run on Google Workspace.
• Ability to learn new software quickly without hand-holding.
• Comfort using AI tools daily as a working instrument.
• Enough numeracy to read a revenue report and notice when something's wrong.
• You have extreme discretion: you will see contracts, financials, and internal matters.
• You anticipate rather than react.
• You hold people to deadlines without being unpleasant about it.
• You're comfortable with ambiguity and unfinished context.

Nice to haves

• Experience in a startup or agency where you wore several hats.
• Background in operations, project management, client service, or executive support.
• Any exposure to sales.
• A history of building your own systems for staying organized.
