Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Who we are
Morsegrid fixes what breaks when an ecommerce brand grows. We find the cause in a brand's own Shopify, helpdesk and ERP data first, then build the fix and train the team to run it.
We are a small, senior-led team with people in the USA, Bangladesh, Ireland and New Zealand. Trainees learn on real client systems next to senior people. We care about craft, plain communication and work that keeps running after we hand it over.
About the role
We're hiring Sales Development Representatives to build the top of our sales pipeline.
This is a first sales job and it is trained as one, with a paid ramp and reviewed work for the first 90 days. You will build targeted prospect lists, write outbound copy that earns replies, and book qualified calls, not close deals.
What you'll achieve
- Build prospect lists. Build targeted prospect lists against a defined ICP, using signals that indicate real fit.
- Research prospects. Research each prospect enough to write an opener specific to their business.
- Write outbound sequences. Write and send outbound sequences across email and LinkedIn, following our copy framework.
- Handle replies. Handle replies quickly, qualify the interested ones, and get them booked.
- Keep the CRM accurate. Keep the CRM accurate: every contact, every touch, every outcome, logged same-day.
- Run follow-up cadence. Run the follow-up cadence properly, including the "not now" list.
- Report weekly. Report weekly on what was sent, what came back, and what changed as a result.
Skills you'll need to bring
- No degree requirement and no sales background required.
- Written English strong enough for US, UK, or Australian business owners to read without noticing it's a second language.
- Comfort in spreadsheets: filtering, sorting, and deduplicating without breaking the data.
- Ability to learn CRM and outbound tooling quickly: our stack includes Instantly, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Basic research skill: you can find who runs a company, what they sell, and what changed recently.
- You write clearly and briefly, with no filler.
- You handle silence and rejection without losing momentum.
- You're detail-obsessed on data hygiene.
- You're genuinely curious about how businesses make money.
Nice to haves
- Any prior outbound, cold calling, customer service, or recruitment experience.
- Familiarity with email deliverability basics.
- Experience writing for an audience: newsletters, social posts, copywriting.
- Interest in automation.
Benefits
- Base pay plus an uncapped performance component per qualified call booked
- Paid training period, with a defined path to Senior SDR
- Remote-first, full-time
- Copy reviewed and coached until your reply rate proves it doesn't need to be
How to apply
Include the cold email you'd send to a company you think should be a client of ours. Three to five sentences. Generic applications will not be reviewed.
A note on AI
You don't need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect everyone here to be curious and to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. When AI fluency is a core requirement, the role says so in the skills list. People who do well here use AI to think better and check its work before it ships.
Equal opportunity
We hire people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you're excited about this role but don't meet every point, we still encourage you to apply. Morsegrid does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. If you need an adjustment during the application process, tell us and we will make it.
