Google & Meta Ads Specialist
Who we are
Morsegrid fixes what breaks when an ecommerce brand grows. We find the cause in a brand's own Shopify, helpdesk and ERP data first, then build the fix and train the team to run it.
We are a small, senior-led team with people in the USA, Bangladesh, Ireland and New Zealand. Trainees learn on real client systems next to senior people. We care about craft, plain communication and work that keeps running after we hand it over.
About the role
We're hiring a Google & Meta Ads Specialist with a strong Google Ads focus.
This role owns paid acquisition across client accounts, from campaign structure and audience targeting to creative testing and performance reporting. You will work directly on DTC and service-based client accounts, managing spend efficiently and driving measurable ROI.
What you'll achieve
- Run Google Ads. Build, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display).
- Run Meta Ads. Run Meta Ads campaigns (prospecting and retargeting) with a focus on ecommerce and lead gen.
- Own campaign structure. Own campaign structure: keyword research, match types, negative lists, and ad group segmentation.
- Test ad copy. Write and test ad copy variations, and coordinate with design on creative assets.
- Monitor spend daily. Monitor daily spend, pacing, and performance, and flag anomalies proactively.
- Report weekly. Produce weekly performance reports with clear insights and next actions.
- Run A/B tests. Conduct ongoing A/B tests on copy, creative, audiences, and landing pages.
- Manage Merchant Center. Manage Google Merchant Center feeds for Shopping and PMax campaigns.
- Set up tracking. Ensure proper tracking setup: Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel, and Conversions API.
Skills you'll need to bring
- 2+ years managing Google Ads campaigns independently (not just assisting).
- Demonstrated results: ROAS improvement, CPL reduction, or revenue growth (bring numbers).
- Experience managing at least $5k/month in Google Ads spend.
- Google Ads: Search, Shopping, and Performance Max (required); Display and YouTube (preferred).
- Meta Ads Manager: campaign setup, audience segmentation, and creative testing.
- Google Tag Manager and GA4: you can set up conversion tracking without developer help.
- Google Merchant Center: feed management and disapproval resolution.
- Familiarity with third-party tools such as Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar attribution platforms is a plus.
- Basic spreadsheet skills for reporting (Google Sheets).
- You have a data-first mindset: decisions backed by numbers, not hunches.
- You communicate performance clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- You're proactive and spot a problem before the client does.
- You work well async and manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball.
Nice to haves
- Google Ads certifications (Search, Shopping, or Performance Max).
- Experience with ecommerce clients (Shopify stores strongly preferred).
- Klaviyo or email retargeting experience as a complement to paid.
- Familiarity with creative testing frameworks (UGC, static, video).
Benefits
- Competitive salary based on portfolio of managed accounts and results
- Remote-first role
- Performance upside tied to client results
- Direct line to founder, no layers, fast decisions
How to apply
Include specific campaign results in your application (platform, monthly spend, ROAS or CPL before/after). Generic applications will not be reviewed.
A note on AI
You don't need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect everyone here to be curious and to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. When AI fluency is a core requirement, the role says so in the skills list. People who do well here use AI to think better and check its work before it ships.
Equal opportunity
We hire people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you're excited about this role but don't meet every point, we still encourage you to apply.
